Happy B-Day Nicholas

Happy Birthday Nicholas -

I just felt compeled to write a note today in rememberance of Nick on his birthday in heaven and his new.........eternal.........timeless life. In some ways I guess I am envious by the fact that Nick is in heaven hanging out with all the christian saints that have gone before him.........I think about Nick hanging out with Grandpa Cooper.............Grandma Murphey...........Jerry.........Johnny Cash.............Jesus............ just to name a few..............hanging out in a timeless...........sinless environment...............with his creator...........a hundred years...........a thousand years must not even have any meaning up there in heaven............as we deal with sin........struggles.............and time here on earth............Nick is hanging in heaven..........he is talking...........playing..............thinking to himself.............I am glad they know Jesus........I am glad they trust in Him and ask for forgiveness..............I am glad that they ask for forgiveness in a sin filled fallen world......I am glad of the gift of a holy God.......a God that cannot look upon sin..........a God that provided a gift of His son..............a son named Jesus...........a son that took away the sins of the world................I am glad that I will see them soon..............perhaps twenty five to fifty years will pass and Nick may never leave the entry gates of heaven to explore the rest of it because there are so many people to talk to at the entry.............so many things to see at the gates.............so many things to do...........in our earthly timeline it may take fifty years..........fifty years of sin.........sadness.........disappointment...........heartache.........tears........... but fifty years will seem like nothing to Nick in heaven.........perhaps he will still be standing at the gates when we see him again.................time has no meaning in eternity....................I am envious..............



I still think of Nick before his death..............God was speaking to him.................God was calling him by name...........Nick......I made you...........I am the potter and you are the clay................you will soon run your last race............you are mine...........your heart is too good for the earthly world.............I have a plan for you................I have made a home for you in eternity and I will lead you home now very soon.........Nick..........I want you to think about me.........I am your God........accept my son that died for your sins.........accept Jesus and you will be with me in heaven..........it's your choice Nick................I believe that Nick did not just sing..........Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary at one of his last FCA meetings.............I believe he also took it to heart and prayed it as well................as hard as it is to understand it..........as hard as it for us to work through all the pain......heartache.......and time here on earth............God answered Nicks prayer............Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary............pure and holy..........tried and true............with thanksgiving...........I'll be a living..........sanctuary for you..............God did answer Nicks prayer..........God did prepare Nick to run and finish the race...........little did we or Nick know that he would finish the race crossing the heavenly gates...........from time to eternity.........and now Nick is pure and holy..............with a new body and spirit..............living in a heavenly sanctuary.................sinless..........timeless..............with the saints.........with God.........with Jesus.........I hope to see you soon Nick..........for now I must try to be content........I will remember you with lots of love today and in the days that follow but I will also remember you with a little bit of envy...........how can I not be envious when I am thinking of you.........thinking of you here on earth...........
